The location is great, but I won't book here again. The whole experience was stressful and unpredictable. I travel for work several times a month and know what a normal booking and check-in should look like. This place felt sketchy. Before arrival, I was charged twice, once through Expedia and again by the hotel's management company, Arbio. They messaged to say I hadn't paid and warned that the stay might be cancelled. After I explained the duplicate charge at reception on day two, I was told it could be an Expedia holding charge that only looked like a real credit card charge. That wasn't true. After spending a long time on the phone with Expedia, they said the hotel shouldn't have charged me separately but was refusing a refund under its policies. Expedia eventually refunded me. Then, after that refund, Arbio sent another payment request. The cheek! Getting into the hotel was another mess. I arrived just before 10 pm, which the Arbio website said was within reception hours, but a sign on the door said reception closed at 5 pm. The portal gave me lots of directions to the room but left out the hotel access code and the lockbox code for my key. No one answered the doorbell or the number posted there. Eventually someone at Arbio answered my call and gave me the code. I saw the same thing happen to several other guests, so this wasn't just a one-off. During the stay, the room booklet said weekday breakfast was 7:00 to 10:30 am, but there was no breakfast and the bar door was firmly shut. Other reviews also mentioned poor internet; my laptop couldn't connect, and reviews from past years said the hotel was talking to its provider, yet nothing had changed. When I asked reception about the check-in problems, I was told they were optimizing the system. After all this, I think the repeated payment issues and the outdated, inconsistent information about access are a pattern. The hotel might blame third parties or say it lacks visibility, but my experience was unreliable from start to finish.

There are lots of restaurants, shops, and attractions nearby, and a major transport hub is close too. The hotel was clean and had everything I needed in the room. I’d happily recommend it.

We arrived three and a half hours ahead of check-in, but our room was ready, so we could go straight in. That was a big help since I had a work meeting and would otherwise have needed to join from a coffee shop. The room was spacious enough for all three of us, and the shower had strong pressure and steady hot water. Reception welcomed us warmly and offered recommendations, and the cleaning staff were very kind. The location suited us perfectly, with easy access, and the price was great.

Our room was a good size, had a balcony, and came equipped with towels, slippers, a hairdryer, and snacks and drinks for purchase. The receptionist was very nice. We booked for three through Booking.com, which showed a 3 pm check-in and noon checkout. Payment sent us to the hotel's Arbio site, where we also booked parking for €20 per night. Arbio listed checkout at 10 am and said late checkout cost extra. We couldn't sort out the discrepancy by messaging through Booking.com, but at check-in the receptionist confirmed checkout was at noon. I also called to ask if we could drive right up to the hotel because it's in the middle of the city. The staff member seemed unsure, couldn't give a clear answer, and hung up. Even though we paid through Arbio, Booking.com still marked the reservation unpaid, so I didn't get my Genius points.

The location was just right, about 400 metres from the train, city circle buses, the main square, and its many attractions. Pubs, a wine bar, souvenir shops, and places to eat were close too. We really enjoyed our stay. We had a spacious, clean ground-floor room with a huge shower. There was barely any noise from passersby. The bed was big and firm, and they provided a fan during the extreme heat. Check-in was easy, with someone at reception until 10 pm, and the room was made up every day.
