Hotel Novalis

The breakfast was good value and the location is central, but breakfast only starts at 8:15. The rooms were very old, with furniture that didn't look inviting. There was mold in the shower, and the toilet kept running and refilling its cistern noisily every 1-2 minutes. The room light wouldn't switch off completely, so it was uncomfortably bright for sleeping. From 7 in the morning, street noise came through windows that seemed to offer no sound insulation. When I arrived, old mattresses were partly blocking the corridor to the emergency exit. They were only removed later, with a lot of noise in the middle of the night, after I threatened to contact the fire department.

We stayed for five days and walked to the main places in Berlín because they were so close to the hotel. The location was excellent. Breakfast was very good and really cheap. I'd recommend it if you want a great location without spending much.

A great little place if you're after a cheap stay, nothing fancy, and a really good bed. It was surprisingly quiet, and the staff were very friendly. Breakfast is inexpensive and does the job.

We had a good time here for three nights and four days, and paid 145€. The rooms, bathrooms, beds, and quilts were small, and the quilts were heavy to handle. Staff were friendly. The Bahnhof is a 15-minute walk away. Breakfast was 6€, with limited choice, but enough to eat, and they offered freshly boiled eggs. My son ate for free. The main problem was the internet, which disconnected every minute.
