Avoid this hotel! The room was filthy and terrible, and the hotel needs a serious refurbishment. There was no hot water. The place smelled of tobacco and air freshener, and the staff weren’t helpful. They couldn’t give us a refund. Staff said the hotel didn’t smell of cigarettes, then took a cigarette break outside, with the door opening and closing. What a joke. We’re on the phone to Bookings.com now, trying to get our money back so we can find another hotel.

The junior suite was meant to be a treat, but the room smelled of cigarette smoke and the floors and walls were filthy. Something had spilled in the minibar and had been left there, with nobody cleaning it. After a long check-in, we were told the whole hotel had no hot water. They wouldn't refund us, saying it should be back in a couple of hours. We're now in a restaurant across the road trying to get Booking.com to sort it out, since neither they nor the hotel seem to accept responsibility. It's a complete mess. The photos show how disgusting the room was.

The room they eventually moved us to was better, though still worn and a bit dirty. On our last day we spotted an old blood stain, possibly period blood, on one pillow, and there were bugs in the room. At first we were given a basement room that wasn't described that way on Booking.com. It smelled bad and was extremely worn and dirty. When we asked to switch, staff said no rooms were available. After Booking.com got involved, suddenly they had about five rooms we could choose from. They also claimed management wasn't working that evening, but that turned out to be untrue. Staff were friendly, but not honest. One of the worst hotels I've stayed in.

The hotel felt dark and unwelcoming, with almost no parking, and both the rooms and the building need refurbishing. The rooms are spacious enough, but our first impression was disappointing and we won't recommend it to our colleagues. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. I had booked my colleague's room for the right date but the wrong month. Booking.com offered a free cancellation, but management refused, even though we made a new booking and it wouldn't have cost the hotel anything.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Quentin Boutique Hotel, especially because of Ibrahim at the front desk. He was welcoming and professional, and went out of his way to handle my requests and keep things running smoothly. His warmth and care with the details made a real difference.
