The bed was amazingly comfortable, and we found the location handy for exploring the east side of Berlin. They left us some drinks and a snack, and when we contacted reception on WhatsApp, they got back to us really quickly. There weren’t enough utensils, though. Also, there’s no elevator, which made getting our luggage upstairs difficult.

The room was okay, though it didn’t quite match what the online photos led us to expect. The location in Berlin is great, but service was minimal and didn’t feel personal. We’d booked three months ahead for a group of 18. On the way to Berlin, we were told there was a technical problem with the room meant for six people. Instead of arranging a suitable alternative, NUMA offered a room across the city, which would have split up our group. Those six people ended up booking another Airbnb. I’d have a backup plan if considering a stay here.

We were looking forward to staying together in a three-bedroom apartment, but on arrival we got an email saying they’d put us in a much smaller apartment without three bedrooms, for a tiny discount. It was presented as take it or leave it, so our choices were to accept it or find somewhere else at the last minute. They could have called or sent a WhatsApp message and at least tried to explain or help. They didn’t do any of that. That’s really poor management, and we definitely won’t be back.

The service was excellent, and the rooms were nicely decorated, like the other Numa apartments. The halls were a letdown, though, with very poor interiors and a smell from the kitchen on the ground floor. The sofa bed was odd too, so it would have been great for one couple.
