Lindsays Schlafmeile - Hostel

The location isn't among lots of tourist attractions, but there's an easy train nearby that gets you to them. Everything was clean, the food prices were very cheap, and I liked the people here a lot. The hostel staff were welcoming and friendly, and happy to help with anything we asked. Check-in is at their cafe, where prices are very cheap too. I hadn't known about the extra city tax, though that's not their fault. You also pay for towels, which is standard, and for bed sheets, which I found odd. I mean, can I use the bed without sheets? I don't think so. Other than that extra linen charge, it was good. I'd recommend the place.

It's good value for money, and the staff are really nice and as helpful as they can be. The hostel is near public transport, with supermarkets and bars nearby, and it has a bar of its own. The rooms are okay, with comfortable beds and large individual lockers. A tram passes right in front, so it's a bit noisy, and the curtains don't help much with the morning sun. The bathrooms and common areas weren't very clean.

Good for the price. The hostel was fairly clean, and the location is really good. The staff have been extremely friendly and helpful. There are storage lockers where you can lock up your bags.

The bathroom was very clean and smelled like bleach, and the showers were okay, with curtains. But I had a really uncomfortable experience in the women's communal bathroom after showering. While I was changing, a male staff member pushed the door open. He acted like it was a mistake, but he could clearly hear us talking and playing music. The rooms are tiny, poorly ventilated and packed with as many people as possible. The area is residential and quieter, about a ten-minute walk from the U bahn and S bahn.
