The hotel is a hundred years old, so keep that in mind if you stay here. The room was clean and everything worked, and reception and room service were very good. It’s very central, on a street full of good cafés and restaurants.

The rooms have slightly older finishes, but everything was clean and working. Good value for the price, and a great central Berlin location close to Friedrichstraße station.

The beds were comfortable, check-in was easy, and prices were reasonable. Staff gave great service, even helping us get a drink from the mini fridge. The only small drawback was the shower’s size and design. It’s fairly close to the city centre, walkable if you don’t mind a bit of a stroll, and easy to reach by public transport.

The location was a real plus, just a five-minute walk from the main station. The room, though, felt very dated. I was first put in an attic room that reeked of cigarette smoke, and the non-smoking room I was moved to had other strange smells. The carpet was dirty, and the bed was very thin. Not a great place to stay.
