Pension Absolut Berlin

We booked a room at 19:00 and got the password for the hotel and room at 21:00. Everything in the rooms was very clean. The bathroom is shared, but it has three enclosed cabins with sinks and basic amenities, which gives you enough privacy. Great value for money, friendly staff, and a very clean place. I'd recommend it.

I was fed up with Airbnb and its questionable claims about cleanliness, but didn't really want a hotel either, so Pension Absolut Berlin seemed like a good middle ground. It turned out to be a great place to stay. The rooms were lovely and spotless, and the location is handy for East Berlin, with lots of good places to eat and excellent transport connections. We had our own bathroom with a great shower, plus access to a well-equipped shared kitchen. The staff were friendly and super helpful. I'd highly recommend it.

The place felt cozy, and the neighborhood had good public transport, a couple of supermarkets, and lots of restaurants. Everything looked new and modern, and it was very clean. Self check-in was easy. The bed was quite firm but comfortable, with a nightstand, reading light, and power outlet on each side. The windows open for fresh air, and the price is hard to beat. The shared kitchen and bathroom were clean too, with plenty of toilets and showers for the number of rooms. It was quite warm, though. The building is well insulated and on the ground floor, so air conditioning isn't needed, but a small fan would be nice. The pillows were much too soft for me, though that's personal preference.

Getting into the centre was easy with the U and S-Bahn nearby. The kitchen is on the small side and has no stove, though it does have the other basics. Staff were really friendly, and the rooms felt clean and comfortable. The bathrooms are shared, but the showers and other areas are divided into private spaces.
