Premier Inn Berlin City Süd

The breakfast was uncomfortable. Staff kept staring at guests the whole time, which felt awkward. There was no phone in the room, and the front desk was often unattended, so getting in touch was a hassle. I stayed two nights in two different rooms, and barely slept either night because the soundproofing was so poor. The first night, loud footsteps from above woke me. The next night, I could hear parties in nearby rooms until around 3 a.m. The heating ran all night but the rooms still felt cold. The radiators were badly rusted at the bottom, spider webs were visible everywhere, and the bathroom fixtures, including faucets, soap dispensers, and the shower rack, were dirty. Cleanliness was far below standard. Now I understand why this hotel has 1,450 reviews but only a 3.7 rating. This was a very disappointing stay, and I wouldn’t recommend it to friends.

The bus stations are only a short walk away, which made getting around easy. We had a bed-only room, and it was clean and comfortable. The staff were warm and welcoming. A good option for a simple, convenient stay.

The room was unbearably hot, with no air conditioning and poor ventilation, and we barely slept. We had booked a family suite, but at check-in we were given the wrong key, which caused an embarrassing situation. When we sought help, the receptionist made rude comments instead. The hotel is also quite far from the center. The chain advertises a “Good Night Guarantee,” but after we complained, reception told us to email them. That email still hasn’t been answered. A very uncomfortable stay, and I wouldn’t recommend it.

There was hair all over the floor, and after my shower I used a fresh towel only to find someone’s hair all over my body and face. The room may look neat, but it really wasn’t. When I told the receptionist, even explaining the hair color in case they wanted to alert someone to be more careful, he cut me off and tried to lecture me.
