Quentin Berlin Hotel

The room’s design was the one bright spot, but that hardly helps when it isn’t clean. There was dust around the room, and I found COCKROACHES in the BED. It was a horrible hotel experience. I was moved to another room right away, but staff seemed to already know there were bugs in the rooms and didn’t seem sorry. The next morning I couldn’t reach the hotel manager because he wasn’t there, and they wouldn’t give me his phone number. Staff were generally indifferent and unhelpful. Unbelievable and shameful for a four-star hotel.

The location is great, but the hotel itself didn’t match the pictures. The building looks worn down from outside, and the elevator is old and small. My room was very dusty, and the towels were stiff, as they don’t use conditioner for them. It’s not a four-star hotel, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. The advertising is badly misleading. They also charge 100 euros at check-in.

The beds weren’t comfortable, and breakfast was just okay, nothing special. For the price, the place was barely acceptable, and I’d look at another hotel. It doesn’t seem well maintained, though you can’t tell that from the pictures online. The interior is trying for a designer, luxurious look, but doesn’t pull it off. It feels like the owner wants to make money while investing as little as possible.

For £70 a night, it’s hard to go wrong. The rooms are a good size and comfortable, with nice decor. The bed was soft but still comfortable. The tiny balcony looked out onto an unappealing back car park, and the shower was too hot, so I’ve taken off a star.
