Breakfast was better than I expected, and the room was clean and perfectly fine. The curtain didn’t quite cover the whole window, though. As for the location, it’s hard to beat.

The reception gentleman was funny and went out of his way to help us, and we were made to feel welcome from arrival through checkout. One evening the restaurant was closed, so we picked up wine and cheese at Aldi. When we came back, they gave us plates and glasses so we could have a picnic on the balcony. The breakfast spread was huge, with just about every kind of food; I especially enjoyed the Nurnburg sausage sandwiches. The beers were great, while the food was decent but could be better. We only ate dinner there once because the restaurant was closed on one of the evenings. All in all, we had a fantastic stay.

The hotel sits in a beautiful park, with pleasant beaches just a short walk away, and it’s a lovely spot for cycling if you enjoy a few decent hills. We found Seehotel Grunewald while looking for an affordable place near Berlin for my wife’s Sunday course. The price was low, so we expected something fairly basic, but we got more than we’d paid for. The staff were very friendly. We arrived late because of traffic and the kitchen had already closed, but they were still happy to make a small portion for our one-year-old daughter. We had a very nice stay and would choose it again if we return to Berlin.

The room was spotless and the staff were friendly. The location has a special, almost heavenly feel to it ❤️. It’ll definitely be one of my favorite places to stay in Berlin.
