The building and rooms look really nice, and breakfast is very good, with the option to eat outside. The service staff are friendly, but when things get stressful they seem to forget some agreements: toilet paper, preparing the hotel card correctly, having enough tea and coffee pots, cleaning the plates properly, and keeping nuts available at the bar.

I came for a passport renewal appointment and had forgotten my proof of payment. The reception staff were really kind and printed it for me, which helped a lot. Even though my train got in quite late, they greeted me and checked me in at 00:10. I stayed one night and found the room comfortable. The bathroom was fine, though the shower pressure was a little weak. Breakfast at the buffet was leisurely and available until 10:00, and checkout at 11:00 gave me time to get to the embassy. The architecture is great by German standards, prices are good, and there’s a conference center nearby. I’d recommend staying here.

The room felt like a sauna because the AC wasn’t working. The receptionist only mentioned that it was broken after we asked. The sink was clogged, and the shower stand didn’t work properly for a tall person. It looks like a three-star hotel but is only worth one star. If you’re staying here, make sure the AC works when you check in.

The rooms are nice and breakfast was good. There were a couple of small quality issues: no cups in the room, and the fridge didn’t work when first switched on. I had to fiddle with the switch, and even then it never got very cold.
