The staff were warm and professional, and made a real effort to welcome us. Breakfast was lovely, with plenty to choose from and fresh ingredients. The rooms were extremely comfortable and spotless, and the hotel has a beautiful, stylish feel. Hotel the YARD Berlin went beyond what I expected. I'd happily come back.

We missed having a coffee machine in the room, but otherwise had a great couples' break here. The room was comfortable and beautifully designed, and the hotel was immaculate. The team were genuinely warm and helpful. It's a short walk to the U-Bahn, and taxis are easy to find and reasonably priced. We'd gladly return.

The breakfast is really great. We were also glad we had two connecting rooms for the kids, which made the family trip much easier. We found more room combinations and options by emailing the hotel directly than we saw on Booking.com, so it's worth booking that way.

The hotel is nice enough, and in Berlin it's hard to find a bad location, so I can't fault it on that. What bothered me was the way everything was charged separately. Breakfast was horrendously priced, and I have no respect for hotels that charge extra for the pool and gym without making that clear enough during booking. If I'd known the gym would cost us 20€, I'd have picked another place. I'd rather spend my money at a hotel that cares about giving guests a good experience than one that seems determined to squeeze every last bit out of them.

The pool and sauna were a real highlight, a quiet place to relax and recharge. The team were also outstanding, friendly and helpful from the moment I arrived, and made me feel at home. Hotel the YARD Berlin has a cozy, welcoming atmosphere and great amenities. I'd recommend it for a visit for business or pleasure, and had an exceptional stay.
