Wassersport-Appartements am Stößensee

The WiFi was a problem 😔

We’d had the booking for more than six months when the hotel cancelled it on its own, without checking with us or giving any explanation that made sense. We tried contacting them several times afterward and got no reply at all. At the very least, we expected an explanation or some kind of solution. In our view, treating guests this way is unacceptable, and it’s left us with a very negative impression.

After five years of construction work in Berlin and trying hundreds of rooms and apartments, this is easily the best one I’ve found. The owner is really friendly, the kitchen is fully equipped, and the place is clean and modern. The location is perfect too. I’ll definitely stay here again.

The only snag for us was the bathroom. The shower is raised a little and has just a curtain, so water can spill out and it’s hard to push it back in. I’d have liked to know that beforehand, as I would’ve needed fewer towels. I can’t say whether all the rooms are like this. Apart from that, we had a wonderful stay. The place is peaceful, well maintained, and tastefully furnished, with thoughtful details and everything we needed. We especially enjoyed the outdoor jacuzzi and the small sauna, which was great for relaxing. The staff were always helpful and so friendly that we felt welcome. We’d happily come back, and the positives far outweigh that minor bathroom issue.
