We felt right at home at the bishop's and had such a lovely stay. We'd happily come back anytime!

The apartment was clean, and the location is very nice. We mainly chose it for the Königscard, and it might suit couples reasonably well. But we wouldn't recommend it for families. We have two small children and nobody told us that a robotic mower runs every day. With the property on a hillside, we found that really dangerous. It keeps going even when something is in its way. The website description also gives the wrong impression about the farm: there are no animals on the farm itself. Cows graze in nearby fields, and now and then you might see cats or wild rabbits. Despite what other sites say, there is NO horse on the farm. We also didn't experience the hospitality others describe. The Hipp family weren't unfriendly, but we missed the warmth and honesty we associate with Bavarian hospitality. Maybe Mr. and Mrs. Hipp are getting too old to host holidaymakers or families, but lying is unacceptable, and we felt this happened several times. Gossiping about other guests was unacceptable too. Very disappointing. At the end of the stay, the landlady walked through the apartment and counted the clothes hangers. We'd never had that happen before. A little trust in guests would be nice. That's why we gave it 3 out of 5 stars.

The Königscard was the best part of our vacation, with so many attractions included for free. We had very friendly hosts too, and highly recommend the apartment. We'll definitely rent "Zugspitze" again on our next Allgäu trip. We'll be back!
