Landgasthof Doldewirt

Doldewirt was a pleasant surprise compared with the other nearby places we stayed, and the rate was very fair. The staff were super friendly and accommodating, and the hotel had practical family rooms and spaces to gather. Breakfast was lovely too. We really enjoyed our time here. There's an amazing playground down the street, and a small swimming lake just a five-minute drive away.

We'd just had a hectic couple of days, so arriving somewhere quiet was exactly what we needed. The town is tiny and everything else was closed when we got there, but the hotel and restaurant were open. We took our time eating downstairs, then settled into clean, cozy rooms. For the low price, it was a very convenient stay. If you want other things to do in town, this might not be the right spot. For an affordable, cozy base in the Bavarian mountains, though, it worked really well for us.

We had a pleasant stay, and the staff were friendly with excellent service. The hotel is simple rather than luxurious, but it was clean, had on-site parking, and served great food. It worked well for the whole family, pet included. The location is central, with Haslacher See and the hiking area Feuersteinschlucht very close by, and Linderhof and Neuschwanstein not too far away. I'd definitely recommend it.
