Das kleine Altstadt Hotel

The people running this place seem incompetent, and I felt they were trying to scam guests through b oo king.com and Ai rB nB. They listed rooms on both sites, apparently failed to keep the reservations straight, then tried to make the guest with the cheaper price leave. They also insisted the little brother take the blame for their mistake. Don’t book here. The hassle and cost aren’t worth it.

The room was spotless, nicely furnished, and had everything I needed. Mine was just right for one or two people, and room service is available from the neighboring restaurant. This friendly little hotel sits right in the heart of the old town. Highly recommended, and I’ll definitely return. Keep up the great work! 👍👍

After a five-hour journey, our booking was cancelled just ten minutes after we arrived, with no alternative offered. We’d stayed with them before, when a 3-4 star rating would have been fair. This time it’s one star. We called three different numbers, then the cancellation came through Booking.com ten minutes later. Extremely unprofessional.

We were told by the owner on the phone that there was a ground-floor room for our old dog, who could no longer manage stairs. He said I could book by giving our name and agreeing to the terms. I made the booking through booking.com, called again, and he confirmed it and said he’d arrange the ground-floor room. But when we arrived, an employee told us we’d been given an attic room instead. My wife was in tears and said this was completely unacceptable and not what we’d agreed. The employee checked with his supervisor, then said nothing could be done. We had to go home and were told we’d get a refund. After several calls with the owner, we were told to try to get our money back from booking.com because he’d offered us a replacement room that we had refused. He suddenly wasn’t so nice. It looks like we can kiss our money goodbye. Be careful with this hotel, they don’t stick to their agreements.
