It was a pleasant, quiet place to stay, and a handy base for exploring the island. But cleanliness really needs attention. We were travelling with a toddler, and found mold on the walls in the living room and kitchen area; the rest of the accommodation needed a deep clean too. With so many visitors each year, it shouldn't all be about making money and getting through as many tourists as possible. We visit the island every year, so it was especially disappointing to find the hygiene and cleanliness worse than ever, particularly during COVID.

Everything was fine during our stay. The only downside was having to pay extra to park right outside the door.

The Wi-Fi that was promised wasn't there, and nobody picked up the phone. Under the bunk bed we found dirty diapers left by previous guests. We had booked for five adults, but there was only one double room, a bunk bed, and a worn-out cot, even though the apartment was meant to sleep six. This was a truly awful place and ridiculously overpriced. If you're planning a holiday on Rügen, stay somewhere else.

The kitchenette was generally clean, but the beds had just been made and their cleanliness was shocking. The fridge's freezer compartment was packed with ice, and the apartment furniture looked worn and mismatched.

The views and location are fantastic. For what it costs, though, I expected better service. The place fell short on cleanliness, clarity, and how things were handled.
