I’d seen some mixed reviews after finding the guesthouse on Google Maps, so I wasn’t sure at first. Our stay was great: the staff were genuinely friendly and the rooms spotless. There’s no elevator, but the stairs were no trouble for us. You can ask for more at breakfast if you’re still hungry, and there’s a room behind the guesthouse where bikes can be locked up, with direct access from the street. The service deserves more credit.

We booked at the last minute and ended up having one of the best stays of our trip. The room was simple, clean, and comfortable, and the people were very friendly. The parking lot is about 600m from the hotel, a pleasant walk away.

The hotel was very clean and followed the pandemic safety measures, and the staff were super friendly. The room itself was quite small and simple. The bed and pillows were very soft, but the bedding was uncomfortable: the duvet kept itching, and there was a stain on the sheet. It was hard to sleep.

The people running this place really made it for us. It’s on a beautiful street, and during the day they serve good light meals along with beers, wine, coffee, and more. Since we were cycling and wanted an early start on our last day, they put together a lovely packed meal for us. We even got a goodbye wave early that morning. 😊

We were 10 people hiking the Moselsteig and spent two nights at Gasthaus Huwer in Bernkastel. They sorted us out with restaurant suggestions, a taxi, and trail lunch packets, and breakfast was very good. The location in Bernkastel was good too.
