Beautiful place, and it had everything we needed.

The apartment was spotless, spacious, and beautifully furnished. The people were incredibly nice, and they explained everything when we arrived, even giving us a sort of room tour.

The apartment was clean, had two bedrooms, and offered a large living area with adequate furnishings. The African-style decor is a matter of taste. Our main issue was the welcome from the landlord’s wife and employee, who seemed so unfriendly that we had to make ourselves go in. We’d accidentally booked for two adults instead of four, but arrived as four. After a discussion and a phone call with the landlord, we were allowed into the apartment for an extra €100 for two nights. During that conversation, they told us that the landlord had called the police right away the last time other people entered the apartment at night. We assume the security cameras set off an alarm when they detect movement. We can’t understand the €100 difference for the extra cost of washing the duvet once, especially since we made the bed ourselves. The perceived rudeness and implied threat of police involvement mean we definitely won’t return. This doesn’t apply to the landlord, or “boss,” himself, who was much friendlier on the phone.

Apartment 2 had everything we needed, was very clean, and we felt comfortable there. The landlord was very friendly. Free parking is available right at the property. One detail that could be clearer is the distance to the town center. It’s not 0.4 km, but more like 1.0-1.2 km. EDEKA is easy to reach by car, and there’s a parking garage there where the first hour is free. Traben-Trarbach is about a 30-minute drive away. A visit to its Christmas wine market is definitely worthwhile right now, since it takes place in the cellars. We’d highly recommend this accommodation and would book it again anytime.
