The surroundings are wonderfully quiet, even though the rooms themselves can be a little noisy. Inside, the place looks much better than it does from outside. It’s kept in great shape, with a simple, no-frills style and good-quality food. There’s loads of room for groups, especially medium-sized ones or larger. For the price, I’d definitely recommend it to anyone watching their budget.

We'd happily come back! The hostel is in the lovely Zittau Mountains, and it's great value for money. Rooms are basic, but spotless, and there are also large rooms with accessible features. The staff are really friendly and helpful, and the food is tasty, hearty, and plentiful.

We picked this place for a big family gathering because our family has roots in the area. Sadly, circumstances meant the celebration got smaller than planned. We wanted a peaceful setting and a couple of evenings together to share memories and sing, and that's exactly what we had. I honestly can't think of anything to criticize. There were a few changes to our guest numbers before we arrived, and the team handled each one politely and professionally. We arranged the catering over the phone, and it was delicious. Thank you for that, and for making everything so easy. Getting there was straightforward, with the room keys ready so check-in didn't take long. We barely noticed the staff during our stay, apart from when they were kindly helping us. The rooms also exceeded our expectations, especially as we were used to a certain level of comfort. There are toilets and showers in the hallway, but we didn't really need to use those. The rooms we stayed in shared a bathroom between two rooms, so four people had one large bathroom. As a chaperone on a class trip, I was pleased with the clean, practical rooms and the friendly, capable staff. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were varied, well organized, and served without fuss. There were also on-site activities, including a sandpit and sports room. There's no kiosk or anything similar close to the guesthouse, but that does help keep things very quiet, and a lot of the students appreciated that.
