The check-in was easy, and breakfast was thoughtful and efficient, with really good coffee. The rooms have all the little comforts that show the owners care: space for clothes, soft towels, comfy sheets, heated bathroom floors, generous space, and a lovely fresh scent, almost cedar or spruce. The old town itself is magical, with its walls on a hill above the famous river stream. Hotel Am Mark has a charm of its own. Tea lights in lanterns guide you in, set on wine barrels that reflect the town's pride in viticulture. Potted plants and flowers lead toward a plush outdoor seating area and the hotel entrance. It feels like a place you could call home. The hotel makes a great boutique stay, with the convenience of booking premium business lodging. If you're working in Stuttgart, getting here by rail is easy, then it's a simple walk uphill to the hotel. Try to get out of the office early. For a leisure trip, stay longer, one night isn't enough. Highly recommend!

Our two-week stay was perfect in every way. When I checked out, I told Jana, why try the rest when you've had the best? The hotel is in the Altstad, close to a lively marketplace, with great shops and places to eat just steps away. We stayed in a recently remodeled building dating from the 1700s. The room felt modern but comfortable, with a queen-size bed and a very good night's sleep. The bathroom is modern too, with black marble walls and a beautiful shower with plenty of hot water. Breakfast, Früchstück, is included and was wonderful. The self-serve buffet had meat, cheese, cereal, rolls, orange juice, and water. Panos makes the best cappuccinos, and we always had two. Soft-boiled and scrambled eggs are available if you want them. If your travels take you to Stuttgart, make time for Besigheim. There are biking and walking trails, plus lots of small vineyards with very good wines to sample. It's a must-see and do. When you've had the best, why try the rest?

The room was just right: large, bright, and well aired, with two windows and another in the bathroom. The building may be ancient, but the rooms are modern and clean. It was lovely to have breakfast outside in the courtyard. This is a charming, well-run hotel in picturesque Besigheim, very conveniently placed almost opposite the Rathaus.

We stayed with our two-year-old son, and the hotel was very accommodating. They offered vegan and gluten-free meals, even at breakfast, and the food was amazing. The staff were friendly, too. A really lovely hotel, highly recommend!
