The meal took more than an hour to arrive, and when it finally did, the portion was tiny. It wasn't especially tasty either.

The homemade jam and the eggs from the chickens next door were especially good, along with fresh bakery rolls, butcher's sausage, and local cheese. Breakfast isn't a buffet, but everything was absolutely delicious. It's a lovely quiet place, with very clean rooms and shower rooms, and great mattresses with linen bedding. The TV is only in the common room, which has its own charm, and the place feels old school. The landlady is a lovely soul. I hope it stays just as it is. Check opening hours before coming for the great food.

It's a bit out of the way, but well worth a visit for the food. Alongside typical German dishes, they serve traditional Thai food, and it's just as good. The dishes are thoughtfully put together and made with fresh ingredients, with excellent value for money. The decor may suggest otherwise, but the food is excellent! ;)

We felt really comfortable here and had a successful evening. The service was friendly, as were the owners. There's a lovely beer garden in picturesque surroundings, and the atmosphere is rustic. The Thai and German food is solid, with good steak and delicious duck.
