Ferienwohnung am Schlossfelsen

We especially appreciated having a well-equipped kitchen, a washing machine, and a large accessible shower. The apartment at Schlossfelsen is quiet, with no through traffic, and furnished with care and every comfort. Even on colder days, the spacious rooms feel warm and cozy. It’s a good base for walking, cycling, museums, and plenty more, with Lake Constance also within reach. We spent a wonderful autumn in the Danube Valley, and our young hosts were friendly, easygoing, and always glad to help or offer advice. We’re already looking forward to coming back.

For bigger grocery runs, the closest supermarket is about a 15-minute drive away. In the morning, though, a little village shop just 150m away has fresh rolls and everyday basics. The apartment sits in a quiet cul-de-sac, within walking distance of the Danube and surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery. It was spotless and tastefully furnished, and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook. Wi-Fi, coffee, towels, and linens were provided. The young couple who run it were lovely. I’d suggest booking through their own website instead of booking.com or similar. It makes an ideal base for day trips or a short escape from everyday life. We’d love to return.

The Upper Danube Valley Nature Park is close by, and its trails should delight hikers. From this bright, peaceful apartment, you can also reach Lake Constance, Mainau Island, the Black Forest with the Rust Leisure Park, Feldberg mountain, and the Austrian, Swiss, and German Alps, all just a few kilometers from the starting point. The apartment is beautifully furnished and has everything needed for a vacation. The young hosts look after it with real care. We can recommend it wholeheartedly.

Wimsen Cave, suggested by the hostess, turned out to be a highlight of our trip. She was very friendly and accommodating, and the neighbors were friendly too. The apartment itself is spacious, modern, and wonderfully set up for relaxing, with coffee, Wi-Fi, parking, a dishwasher, and washing machine among the things provided. A real dream. There’s plenty to explore nearby: Campus Galli and Hohenzollern Castle Sigmaringen are right on the doorstep, with great hiking, local ruins overlooking the town, and Lake Constance less than an hour away. Sigmaringen has plenty of supermarkets for anything else you need. The landscape is just gorgeous. We’ll definitely come back once we’ve settled on a date. Thank you so much!
