Restaurant Residence Ente

The menu is in German, so I relied on Google Translate, which worked fine. Since it gets busy, booking ahead is a good idea. The prices felt reasonable for such good food, and the portions were just right. I came to try German dishes and ended up visiting every day to order something different. The staff were patient and helpful even though I don't speak any German, and I really appreciated that. Ente will be my regular restaurant when I'm in town. Many thanks.

We hadn't slept just to have a delicious dinner, and everything was spot on, service included. Even the espresso and little cheesecake were top notch. Guess we'll let the pictures tell the rest.

I stayed at the hotel for two nights. The restaurant is really good, and its three rooms are more like suites, with lots of space and a modern feel. Finding a decent nearby parking spot was a bit of a problem.

We stayed in the Ente business suite in late September. The location is excellent, just a minute's walk from the Markt Platz, and the suite was spacious and very clean. This is a family-run hotel, mother and son, with three rooms and a restaurant. The family and staff were friendly, and we ate at the popular restaurant all three evenings. It was reasonably priced, with plenty of outlets, bathrobes, an in-room fridge, and a cabinet restocked daily for breakfast. Private parking was available in a nearby garage for 10 Euros a day, paid to Ente. A few easy fixes kept this from five stars, though they wouldn't stop us staying again. The bedroom curtain was torn and pinned together with safety pins. One bathrobe was missing its belt loops, and there was just one pair of slippers for two people. We had only one cereal bowl between us, and on our last morning there was no bowl or cereal. Church bells ring day and night, with particularly cheerful peals at midnight and 6:00 AM, but closing all the windows kept that from being a problem. The same goes for the pesky mosquitoes at night if any windows are left open.
