It’s handy for a short stay, and the train station is within walking distance. The room lighting wasn’t great, which made it feel dark. Also, the sink is outside the bathroom, so there isn’t much privacy if you’re sharing the room.

The staff were super friendly and welcoming, and I had a very nice stay. The room was simple, fairly clean, and quite nice. There was no fridge, electric kettle, or bottled water. I’d have liked scrambled eggs and bacon at breakfast, but that was only a small thing. I’d definitely stay again.

The breakfast was basic, with no lactose-free or other allergy-friendly food. The vegan option was a jar of Billa spread, and the tea selection was poor. I also wanted to ask about check-out time, but there didn’t seem to be anyone from the hotel to speak with. I asked a cleaner; Russian turned out to be our shared language, but she didn’t know the answer. The location is strategic, between the railway station and the center. The room was tiny, yet two desks took up about 30% of the free space. There was also an unexpected lamp on the wall lighting up the coat rack. Check-in meant using a very complicated, dysfunctional computer terminal. The heating display looked like a spaceship control panel. This feels less like a hotel and more like an AI-driven social experiment.

The self check-in worked flawlessly, and the hotel itself was great. Parking is the problem if you arrive by car. You can’t reserve a spot, it’s first come, first served, and the nearby parking garage closes at 20:00, so that wasn’t an option either. I got in around 1am after a huge traffic jam and had to leave my car really far away. That took away from the comfort of the stay. If you’re not driving, though, the hotel definitely meets your needs.
