Landhaus Wald und See

We stayed here at the start of a three-week motorcycle holiday, and it was a perfect way to begin. The owners were super friendly, the place was quiet and peaceful, and the restaurant looked out over a small nearby lake. We liked the food, including a few local treats, and enjoyed it with a Bittburger beer. Our room was spacious and clean, with good beds and a good shower. We were on the ground floor and had a small terrace. Breakfast came with the room and was just as nice as dinner. We could park the bikes by the back door, which made unloading easy. It's a lovely hotel in a traditional German style, and we'll keep it in mind for future trips.

Life really slows down here, which we enjoyed a lot. The apartments are fully equipped, but there's no internet, so be ready for that. The kitchen doesn't have a microwave either, even though they had them in the 70s, hehe, so you'll need to reheat food on the stove or in the oven. The whole place feels like time stopped somewhere in the 70s, as if nothing has changed since then. If that sounds good to you, it's a wonderful stay.

We had a great weekend in peaceful, green surroundings, with tourist spots still an easy drive away. The owners were very welcoming, the place is dog friendly, and our room was spacious and clean. We had a private balcony with a lake view, and the food was good.
