You can look around the museum on your own in the afternoon, or join the 1.5 hour guided tour in the morning. The shop sells authentic items made in/by the mill. Parking is free, and dogs are allowed everywhere. A nice museum.

We went to a wedding here, and the party was nice. The catering was good and there was enough of it. The food, made with local and homemade products, was well balanced and good quality. The setting was nice, and taxis to the hotel were available and arranged quickly.

The setting and view were great, and I enjoyed my meal and dessert, pork with pepper sauce and potatoes/vegetables. It is pricey, so don’t expect a cheap meal, but I thought it was worth it.

We booked a romantic weekend at Wassermühle Birgel, with a four-course menu, and had a great time. Today we toured the mill, and a torch walk is included in the price too. Thanks to all the service staff and Erwin. Mega people. We’ll be back. Ramona and Christian from Kaarst.
