We stayed two nights, from 30 to 31 December, in a first-floor room in the main building. The noise made it hard to relax, especially in the evening. Children were running and shouting nearby, and sounds from the restaurant reached our room. We didn’t notice the hotel trying to manage it. We called the provided number without getting an answer, and couldn’t find anyone at reception then either. At check-in, no one mentioned the New Year’s Eve outdoor show with shooters right outside the hotel. It caught us by surprise, and we would have liked to see it from the start if we’d known. The hotel has potential, but clearer communication and better noise management during busy holiday periods would make the stay much better.

The setting was beautiful and so peaceful, and we especially liked being able to decide each day whether to have dinner at the hotel. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and breakfast had plenty to choose from, including different coffees. Our Junior Suite Königssee was spacious and nicely furnished, with a terrace leading straight onto the grass from the ground floor. It was a lovely place to relax while our child played safely outside. We also enjoyed the wellness facilities: the saunas were great, especially the blockhouse sauna, and our child loved the pool. We found it excellent value and would happily return.

The room was wonderful, with fantastic views, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our 11-night stay. Breakfast was excellent too, with a big selection: cold cuts, marmalades, Bavarian white sausages, fresh fruit, and plenty more.

The spacious rooms and very polite staff were a plus, and breakfast was decent, with scrambled eggs, cold cuts, fresh vegetables, yogurt, marmalade, honey, and more. The indoor pool felt a little cool to me. The smart TVs only had cable and couldn’t connect to the internet, so there was no Netflix or DAZN.

The hiking opportunities and beautiful landscape make this a lovely place to stay. Our room was clean and spacious, and the staff were friendly with good service. Breakfast had plenty of buffet choices, and the dinner menu was fine too. There are several massage and wellness options on site. It’s better to book those ahead. I’d definitely love to visit again.
