Hotel Ochsen

We stayed one night in mid-January and everything was excellent. The town is beautiful, and the hotel had modern facilities, a comfy bed, very friendly staff, and on-site parking. It was immaculately clean, too. The breakfast was the best we've had on our three-week road trip in Germany. Book it, you won't regret it!

We needed somewhere to sleep on the way home and booked late, with a late check-in. Everything went smoothly. Nice room, good service, and an okay breakfast.

At the hotel, the staff were super friendly and most spoke English. Everything was very clean, and the room was great, though a fan would be useful at night in warmer months. It's dog friendly, too. The restaurant food was good but a bit pricey, and the beer was delicious. There's a garage for bicycles and a good-sized car park, but it gets really crowded. After dinner we found three cars blocking us in. Luckily, we didn't need to go anywhere!

We came to explore the Blaubeuren area, and this was a fantastic place to stay, with parking right beside the hotel. In the evening we enjoyed a local pizzeria, then took a charming short walk to the Blautopfquelle, stopping for ice cream cones along the way. A recent storm had made the water murky when we visited, so it wasn't as pretty as it might have been, but it was still gorgeous.
