Beautiful castle, and the views around it are stunning.

The peaceful setting really stood out, with the lake right nearby and the sea not far away. There's plenty of space in the rooms, and I don't think I've ever seen a bigger bathroom. The lovely landscape, juicy blackberries, tame peacocks and swings in the trees all add to the charm. Tressow Castle has a special mix of old and new that makes it feel unique.

Ten days after getting home, we're already missing the castle. It was a last-minute booking after our original apartment had been double-booked, and looking back, we're glad we got to try something new after 25 years. The apartments are beautifully furnished, good value, and give you the feeling of living in a castle. It's peaceful and secluded, and I slept so well that I woke up rested every morning. The housekeeper was always available and helpful, and the owner was friendly and clearly cares a lot about the place. Wismar's dog beach and a lovely restaurant are both about a 15-20 minute drive away, so it's a great base. We definitely plan to return next year. Highly recommended.

The grounds are surrounded by woods with several paths, including one that goes to a small historic cemetery. The rooms are large, and the bathrooms are gigantic, easily the biggest I've ever stayed in. A wonderful place.
