The common areas, including the breakfast room and lounge, looked clean and tidy. My room had a comfortable bed with plenty of space for a one-bed room, and the bathroom was roomy and seemed clean. It did have a strong, unpleasant musty smell, probably from the shower curtain. I let the hotel stuff know and hope they change the curtain more often. The water-saving shower head was a plus, a sign B&B cares about costs and hopefully the environment too. The carpet looked old, dirty and heavily used. I'm not a fan of carpet floors in general and think they should be abolished altogether. The hotel itself was quiet despite being next to the city's west railway station, much quieter than the one next to the central station. The street in front was being reconstructed, so there was no traffic, which probably helped. I picked this typical B&B hotel in the city center partly because Nefis, a well-visited Turkish breakfast buffet restaurant, is literally next door. You can choose to eat there instead, though I think Nefis doesn't serve breakfast before 8:00 am. The hotel's own breakfast is okay, especially for people who want an all-in-one option or need to eat early, say at 6:00 am, and be on their way by 8:00 am. Hotel stuff kept cleaning tables and refilling the serving plates, which was a plus; perhaps they should get paid more than the average salary. It was a pleasant stay and I'd book again, while paying more attention to cleanliness in the rooms and bathrooms.

We had a good stay here, our second time at the hotel. It's a useful option if you just need somewhere to sleep without going into the city. It's not in the city centre, but it's close to the Jahrhunderthalle and some shops. There are roadworks in front of the hotel at the moment, which are a bit annoying, though they haven't affected the hotel.

We left and found another hotel after the air conditioning issue was brushed off. I’d booked a double bed on the ground floor by phone, but the first room had two singles. Reception changed it without any trouble, which was a good start. The replacement room’s AC was loud, though, and I explained it could keep us awake at night in summer. Staff said the noise was normal and we could turn it off. I’d stayed here before without that problem, so the response felt dismissive and unhelpful. We cancelled, and I can’t recommend this location based on the experience.

It was quiet, warm, and spotlessly clean, which suited my few days in the area for business really well. I had an excellent stay, highly recommend it, and will definitely come back.

The room stayed a little cool since there was no way to adjust the temperature manually. Ours was near the stairs, so we heard noise whenever the door shut, and reception was slow. The location, though, is good.
