The listing photos made me think I’d be staying in a quaint old German hotel, but the building shown is actually an abandoned restaurant. The hotel is a shabby building behind it. The shower wasn’t sealed properly, so water leaked all over the bathroom floor. I used four towels to keep it from spreading onto the carpet. There was no soap in the shower dispenser either. When we told reception, they brought us two small packets. The receptionists didn’t seem very motivated. It took two days to get an iron. On the first day, the receptionist said they didn’t have one, so I had to go to a dry cleaner to have my suit pressed. The next day, another receptionist claimed nobody had asked for an iron. I told him every hotel has one and asked him to look. Two minutes later, he came back with it. The hotel also didn’t respond to messages on Booking.com.
