The landlords were friendly, and if you need a place that accepts pets, this could work. Given the apartment's condition, bringing a pet doesn't make you feel guilty. The terrace has a nice view of Bodenmais, but the lawn wasn't mowed at all during our 10-day stay, even though the landlord had specifically mentioned it when we arrived. Inside, there's no freezer compartment in the refrigerator, so you can't cool down with ice cream in the hot summer weather or bring back a frozen pizza from town. There are no doors to the sleeping area, which I found unacceptable, and the two toilets offer no privacy. Comfort is lacking too: there's only a hard dining area that's seen better days. The garbage bins outside smelled unpleasant, and we got that smell every time we came into the house. Several rainy days in a row could make things very uncomfortable. This is a place for sleeping, if that's all you need.

The owners are friendly, helpful, and easy to talk to. They were happy to accommodate requests, so it's worth asking. Thanks again for the excellent service. We came home with lots of lovely memories and would love to return. The holiday apartment has a terrace overlooking Bodenmais, where you can watch beautiful sunsets with a refreshing drink. The air is clear and the climate feels pleasant. There's plenty to do nearby, and you won't go hungry, with lots of Bavarian-style restaurants around.

It's so peaceful here, with no noise or crowds, and the view is amazing! 😍 The apartment was beautifully styled, and the living room even had Christmas decorations. On the table we found two Christmas mugs and a bottle of mulled wine, or two beers in the fridge as an alternative. They'd even thought of our furry friend. The bathroom doors have been taken off, so your partner can hear nighttime trips to the toilet, and the bedroom smells of the toilet. The furniture is in poor shape, there's a musty, damp smell throughout, and the terrace is fenced off carelessly with wire mesh. For the price, the apartment is far too expensive, despite its idyllic spot at the edge of the forest. The radiators can't be turned on. That's especially frustrating after days of rain, when the house rules also say you can't dry laundry outside the already damp apartment. A promised space heater never arrived. The owner also came into the apartment without justification, with his foot in the door, despite the tenants' wishes. That felt intrusive and made me anxious as a new mother with a baby. Absolutely unacceptable.
