Our room was clean and a good size, with its own entrance and a little terrace. We also got a very friendly welcome when we arrived. Dinner started off awkwardly: the chef called out to us loudly from behind the counter, almost like we were at a fish market, and the young waiter looked understandably uncomfortable. It felt more like a village pub where everyone knows one another than a hotel in the forest. Once the chef took our order and went back into the kitchen, the evening became pleasant. The service was courteous and friendly throughout, and things felt much more comfortable with the chef in his “territory.” Breakfast was generous, and a younger cook kept checking it and topping things up so the food stayed fresh.

There’s a sauna at this small, pleasant German forest hotel. It’s beside a beautiful forest and three seas.

We came as a large group for the kale buffet, and the food was tasty with plenty to go around. The location is a real plus, and the service was attentive and efficient. We’ll definitely return.

We came with 11 colleagues and booked a single night without expecting much. The room was extremely noisy and had a strong, pervasive smell. The TV was shrill, the shower hose was broken, and the cleaning wasn’t adequate. Breakfast was appalling too. The quiet location and the friendly woman at reception were the only good things I can say. I can’t recommend this hotel.
