The toilet situation was confusing too. The elderly man at the counter sent us toward public toilets in the village, but that information turned out to be wrong. Earlier, in mid-April 2021, we’d stopped at Haus zum Rössle during a day trip to St. Ulrich after visiting the old church. The board outside said drinks and food were available to take away, so we asked for hot drinks. He wouldn’t serve us, and the way he spoke to us was awful, as if we’d done something criminal. He also wouldn’t let us use the toilet. We couldn’t tell whether this was because of COVID. If so, it seemed odd that three elderly ladies were sitting inside without mouth and nose protection. It was a really undignified experience. We won’t go into Haus zum Rössle again.

The food was great, and the place itself felt amazing. The people were friendly and beautiful.

Tasty, though it does cost a lot.
