The Feldengut family gave us a very friendly welcome, and we had a pleasant stay in a lovely apartment with a balcony and wonderful mountain views. The sauna area was nice, too. The ski lift is an easy five-minute walk, even in ski boots. The drag lift slope has artificial snow, and from the top you can join the valley run and take the connecting lift to the nearby gondola, which goes up to a ski area higher in the mountains where snow is relatively reliable. When there’s enough snow, you can ski all the way back to the ski storage room. Bolsterlang is a pretty little village with a shop and café that have what you need, along with a local cheese dairy and several restaurants.

We stayed at Haus Hochwies during the Ski Flying World Championships, and the owners made us feel very welcome. Our room was exceptionally clean and inviting, with a magnificent balcony looking straight out at the mountains. My partner and I had a wonderful stay, and we’d wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone after a well-deserved break in the beautiful Allgäu region.

The location is perfect for skiing: the apartment is right by the lift, so you can just put on your skis and go. The hosts were very friendly and made us feel at home. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and will definitely return.

We slept really well in the comfortable bed, even with the creaking 😉, and we’ll miss the mountain view from the window. The apartment at Haus Hochwies was clean and cozy. The bathroom is spacious, with plenty of room for toiletries. The only thing we could have used was softer lighting in the kitchen seating area. The Feldengut family was kind and attentive, and we’d love to come back.

We’ve already booked Haus Hochwies for next year after another wonderful New Year’s Eve stay. The apartment is beautiful and the hosts are incredibly friendly. That’ll make it our third time, and we’re already looking forward to it :)
