Haffblick

For the price of apartment 4/58, we expected more comfort. The furniture, including the chairs and kitchen countertop, was quite worn. We arrived as four people looking forward to our vacation, but the apartment really seemed suitable for only two adults. An adult taller than 1.50m (4'11") can sleep very badly on the sofa, if at all.

We gave this apartment two stars only because the central location is good. We stayed there in August 2022, and the place left us with a negative impression. The shower, toilet, and fixtures were badly worn. Around the big kitchen table were two wooden chairs, one very wobbly, and two steel patio chairs. Even the dishes and cutlery were sparse and took some getting used to. In its current state, we can't recommend it.

Number 32 was a very nice apartment with everything we needed. The location is central but tucked back from the street, so it stayed very quiet despite being close to town. Restaurants, bakeries, cafes, grocery stores, and plenty more are all within walking distance. Highly recommended!

The location is good, but plenty of other apartments have that too. We had booked a different place, then were told at short notice it had been double-booked and was unavailable. With no alternatives, we had to take Haffblick 35. This seems to happen fairly often, as other guests at reception were told the same thing on our arrival day. We did get a free set of bed linens, though the first one had several bloodstains. Nice thought, at least. There was a colorful bouquet of mold in the apartment, and various stains on the floor. Nobody seemed willing to take responsibility, including for the broken toilet flush. It wouldn't flush properly. They made one attempt to fix it so it would stop running continuously, but that didn't work. Mr. P.L., this isn't going to help your profits. The kitchen equipment seemed designed to send us to the surrounding restaurants. The one star is for the childproof knives, which couldn't even cut overripe knives. The furnishings made me think of school camps from my childhood. Nothing was broken, but it was old and worn, and things seemed to be there just to fill space. The same pictures were hung multiple times. At dusk and at night, guests seemed unable to tell the light switch from the doorbell, and kept ringing the hidden bell in the dark instead of using the well-lit switch. For a resort town like Boltenhagen, that was out of the question.
