It was far too expensive for what it was. There’s no reception, so you have to phone some random guy to check in, and nothing outside makes it clear this is a hostel. I was confused when I arrived. The rooms aren’t secure, and anyone off the street could walk right up to a bed. During my stay people kept opening the room door, looking in, then leaving. Other tenants were loud and disruptive, though maybe the walls are just thin. My room smelled, but didn’t seem especially dirty. The bathroom was nice and the lounge was good, which kept this from being a one star stay. Still, unless you’re desperate for somewhere to sleep, I’d look elsewhere.

NEVER AGAIN! The furnishings were old, damaged, or broken, and there were no smoke detectors in any of the rooms. There was a crack in the wall, hygiene was poor, and the stove was a danger to life and limb. Someone else’s laundry was in the washing machine. The fridge was dirty and gave off a disgusting smell. Cables were sticking out of the bathroom extractor, which was filthy. The neighbors and nearby railway caused a lot of noise. Some lamps were broken or damaged, and the apartment was badly insulated, so it was always cold. The doors were difficult to open and close, making the escape route harder to use. There was a musty smell throughout the apartment, and all the cutlery was filthy.

The train is very close and goes by every ten minutes. The place is noisy and badly soundproofed, so you hear everything from the other rooms. Hygiene was appalling.
