The location is really good, and the staff were very friendly. The restaurant food was tasty, though overpriced. Unfortunately, after eating you have to head back to a dreadful room. The hotel is completely run-down. The carpets, wallpaper, and windows in the room were shockingly dirty, and the balcony was in bad shape. An outlet was loose, wallpaper above the bed was peeling, there were water stains on the ceiling, and even the TV was crooked. The entrance smelled musty, and the so-called bar was worse. There’s no elevator, and walking up the filthy stairs was no fun. I could list more, but this was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in.

The breakfast room, and breakfast itself, were the only positives. It apparently gets renovated now and then. The rest of the building is old and smells that way as soon as you enter. For what they charge, these rooms are outrageous: they feel completely run-down and stuck in the 70s. There’s a washbasin in the hallway, an old toilet and shower with a polyester mat, mismatched furniture, and some pieces are broken. A rip-off!

At €240 a night, this feels like a rip-off when there’s no other choice. The hotel is badly run-down, with renovation apparently untouched since the 1960s. The rooms are old and neglected, and the bathroom was dirty with poor repairs. Room service didn’t arrive until 3:00 PM yesterday, then never came back for the rest of the day. The advertised pool was so heavily chlorinated that opening the door took our breath away, and we didn’t want to swim. Breakfast felt as dated as the hotel, with some cold scrambled eggs. You could order a fried egg for €1.50, but the cold cuts and cheese selection dwindled each day. The bar was closed Sunday and Monday, so there was only a drinks fridge. A 0.33-liter Flensburger beer cost €4. Unopened packages sat in the lobby for all three days. You can’t run a hotel this way when customers have no other option.
