What made Hotel Bloemfontein special for us was the people. Maria and Nourahin were so kind and helpful, and made sure we had what we needed. The man working at breakfast was pleasant too, even though I couldn't talk with him much in German. I was on a business trip to Borkum with my mother, and from the moment we arrived the welcome was warm enough to change the feel of the whole visit. The breakfast buffet was fresh and varied every morning, with everything well prepared. Our room and all the shared areas were spotless and well maintained, which helped us feel comfortable and relaxed. I don't usually write reviews, but this stay left a real impression on me. If you're visiting Borkum, I'd recommend staying here. The people are what make it special.

The hotel is a little outside the center, but that didn't bother us or affect our stay. The fitness area has what you need for a workout. Some machines are older, but they're all cared for and work fine. We also liked the extra classes and the chance to exercise outside. Our room was very clean and comfortable overall. There were a couple of small flaws, like a slightly damaged bed surround and a patch of missing ceiling molding, but they didn't take away from our positive impression. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We especially loved breakfast. Everything was fresh and nicely presented, with lots of choice: antipasti and various spreads, fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, sausages, plus the usual cheese, cold cuts, and cereal. Making our own crêpes was a fun little extra. We'd gladly come back, and hope our praise, especially for the great team, gets passed on. Warm regards.
