MaJa's lüttje Koje

We had a generous breakfast, and the owner was kind, attentive, and made sure we were comfortable. Our room was individually and beautifully furnished, with a shower, toilet, and TV. There's storage for bicycles or motorcycles as well. The doors are rather thin, so you can hear everything, but Maja's lüttje Koje is still a lovely little family-run place that I'd recommend.

Breakfast arrangements have changed since we've been coming to Lüttje Koje over the past few years. We usually stay one to three nights and feel at home there, but now breakfast is only served on weekends. Booking portals should make that clear, since my booking said it was available every day. You can still use the breakfast room to prepare your own food, and coffee is provided, which is fine as long as you know ahead of time. The rooms are cozy and clean, and the bathrooms are modern. A proper screen for the walk-in shower would help, since it's easy to get water everywhere. During our two-night stay the room wasn't cleaned, and a puddle stayed in the corner. It didn't bother me, though it isn't ideal over time. The price for what you get is perfectly acceptable, and I'd recommend it for a short stay.

We stayed here for one night while cycling along the Weser, and it felt like a real home away from home. Such a cozy, welcoming place. We loved it and highly recommend this lovely gem.

Self-catering is the setup at the moment, and there's a shared refrigerator in the hallway. Breakfast isn't currently available because of COVID-19, though there's a coffee machine, kettle, and microwave for making a hot drink. The new hostess is very friendly and helpful. The house and rooms are modern and comfortable, with thick curtains that block the light well. Wi-Fi is available, and there's a garden terrace behind the house for relaxing. You can rent bicycles too. Directions are straightforward, and parking is available at the house and in front of the property. Longer stays are possible, but this isn't a guesthouse suited to people just passing through or staying one night. In my room, I did miss having a small wall wardrobe where I could hang my coat when I came in.
