The owner was friendly and easy to reach, and the apartment had the basics we needed. Its spot on Cathedral Island is fantastic, with the old town sights close enough to walk to. But the place felt worn out and dingy. There were cobwebs in room corners, dirty bathroom fixtures and grime in other corners. The closets wobbled, there were no coat hangers, and bird droppings covered the garden furniture. What a shame.

We left a day early because we felt so uneasy, which cost us more and capped off an awful stay. We couldn't sleep with the bloodcurdling screams of another raccoon at night. In the morning, a hunter came to collect it and told us raccoons aren't to be trifled with. Earlier, we had found two baby raccoons in the stairwell. The attic wasn't closed off, so they'd made a home there. It took a lot of phone calls before the fire department finally came to remove them. The apartment was filthy and neglected, including the entrance and stairwell. Inside, there were dead flies and cobwebs, the furnishings were gloomy, and the kitchen was both very dirty and missing basic items. The owner offered vague excuses and blamed the cleaning company. The Wi-Fi didn't work either. Mr. Lenz never came to inspect anything and was only reachable by phone. He promised us €100 compensation, but never transferred it. The place was extremely overpriced for its condition, and we have never dealt with such unfriendly, rude behavior. My husband and I have never felt the need to warn other vacationers before. One star is too much. We were very disappointed and can't recommend this apartment at all.

We were charged unreasonable prices, yet the towels we had booked and paid for weren't provided. Dust, cobwebs, and sticky surfaces were everywhere. The furnishings were shabby and rickety, and the microwave didn't work.

A real shame. The place wasn't charmingly furnished, and its upkeep left a lot to be desired. We found it very unclean, especially the bathroom. For its condition, it was definitely too expensive.
