The lake and nearby hiking made the setting a real highlight, and the view from our room was perfect. We stayed two nights with our seven-year-old daughter. The room turned out bigger and even nicer than the photos, and it was spotless and comfortable. We ate at the hotel throughout our two-and-a-half-day stay because the restaurant menu had plenty to enjoy. Breakfast was fresh, tasty, and had lots of choices, especially impressive for a three-star hotel in Germany. There’s also a little children’s area in the restaurant with toys and a smart screen, which was handy for families. The reception team were kind and helpful. Rooms aren’t ready before 15:00, so bear that in mind when planning when to arrive. One nice checkout surprise was a free voucher for one of their special breads. The lake looks especially beautiful in the snow. I’d happily recommend the hotel.

The desserts were so good, and the service was excellent. Everyone was super friendly, too. We had a great time at the restaurant, definitely recommend it.

I went on a Sunday and the place was packed, with traffic and queues everywhere. Business must be doing well, so there’s no excuse for the cleaning staff to have to ask people for money in public. Seeing a coin collection by the toilet felt like something from another century, or an autobahn gas station, though there isn’t one anywhere nearby. Management should pay its staff enough that they don’t have to depend on extra coins.

Service was good, and the coffee and Black Forest cake were nice. We’re vegetarians, so it was good to find a few meat-free dishes; the food was decent. The views are fantastic, making this a nice spot to stop for a meal, coffee, or dessert.

My daughter has coeliac disease, and the staff took a lot of care to make her meal gluten-free. They even fried her potatoes separately and made a different sauce for her pork fillet. Everyone was really polite, and we all enjoyed the delicious food. We didn’t run into any of the problems mentioned in earlier reviews. Would recommend.
