Gasthaus Gombel

The rooms were nice, the employees were friendly, and the prices were reasonable.

The food was delicious, plentiful, and made with tender, good-quality meat. Prices were very reasonable too: four adults paid less than €90. The service was pleasant and friendly, though the drinks service was limited. Several drinks we ordered never reached the table, and they could easily have sold us two or three times as many. That was a real shame. We ate at Gasthaus Gombel for the first time in a long while. The dining room was quite noisy, and its rustic look, with lots of stuffed animals, is a matter of taste. I can’t comment on the rooms. Still, this won’t be our last meal here, because the food more than makes up for it.

The room was clean and comfortable, and a very nice lady patiently waited for us to check in even though we were significantly late. The price for what you get was good. It was quite cold in the room. The heating was cold despite being set to three, probably because it’s turned off at night. That was unfortunate, though there were extra blankets besides the duvets. The blankets themselves were a bit short.

The service was friendly and helpful, and the portions were generous and tasty. We had wild boar schnitzel, Wiener schnitzel and Krombacher beer. Everything was fine.
