Berg und Tal Hotel Apartments

Really great place!

The location made it easy to get everywhere on foot, and there’s parking at the property too. We were three, including a toddler, and spent three nights in the “Cabin” room. The staff were warm, attentive, and gave us personal suggestions for things to do. We didn’t try the hotel’s activities, including its yoga workshops. Breakfast felt thoughtfully put together, with plenty of breads and rolls, honeycomb, and fresh mint, lemon, or ginger for tea. There were also coloring supplies for kids. Our room was spotless and tastefully furnished, with comfortable beds and tea and coffee available. The bathroom had a big shower and a window, though I’d have liked a bit more water pressure. One small thing: a door that locked shut or another mat for wet or snowy boots would have been useful. We’d happily stay again.

The staff have such an easy, friendly way of talking with you, almost like you’ve known each other ages, and conversation comes naturally. Breakfast was delicious, and you can pack food to take along on a hike. The little convenience store was handy too. The rooms felt cozy as well as modern, clean, and charming, with lovely furnishings. The location is fantastic and the price felt very fair. One extra touch for the big lawn behind the buildings could be a small slide or swing, or maybe an herb garden to look at or enjoy for a moment. We’ll be back.

The service really stood out to me. Everyone was incredibly friendly, attentive, and helpful, with a personal touch that gave the place a lovely atmosphere. It made for a great start to a holiday, or even a short weekend away. Berg und Tal is modern and very tastefully furnished, with spacious, clean rooms and a good breakfast. It’s right in the heart of Braunlage, which is a great base for skiing, sledding, skating, hiking, mountain biking, or just taking relaxed walks in nature. A wonderful place to spend time in the Harz Mountains. I’m thrilled and will definitely return.
