Great service, and the landlady is a Guzzi fan.

Everything was spotlessly clean, and they even have a pillow bar. Coffee, tea, and chilled drinks were available whenever you wanted. Breakfast was fantastic. I got a very friendly welcome and a good explanation of everything. Simply perfect for me, thank you so much.

I slept well on the first night, and the room was comfortable. Breakfast was good for both choice and quality, served in a cozy café that isn't too big. Everyone I met, at reception and in the café, was very friendly. I'd come again.

The cakes are the main reason I keep coming back to Hotel Café Frida. My favorites are the eggnog, rubble, and raspberry sour cream cakes, but honestly they're all good. Apple, walnut, and chocolate cakes are delicious too. The slices and tortes are moist, fluffy, and generously topped or filled. You can pair them with portafilter coffee, teas, or alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. They even make the traditional "Pharisaeer". The café has a traditional Frisian parlor feel, with open-fronted windows and old tiles on the walls that have their own stories. There are corner sofas, old tables, some marked by woodworm and some from the previous owners, plus matching chairs. It's a lovely place to spend an afternoon with friends or family. On Fridays you can watch the regulars play skat, listen to the locals chat, and even stay for an after-work beer. If you peek past the cake display, you can see into the kitchen and watch them prepare more sweets when demand is high. I once came back from an excursion late for coffee and found my favorite cake sold out. The boss promised to bake it again the next day, and did. Thank you again for that 🙏 Another time, after my family had spoken with them in advance, they set the table in a special way for my birthday 😊 The whole parlor is also available to rent for celebrations. Hotel rooms, with and without balconies, are upstairs. Hotel guests get a breakfast buffet, which is also open to other guests on weekends, but reservations are essential. There's a toilet on the ground floor and more upstairs. In summer, extra seating is set out outside, where smoking is allowed. Parking is right by the door, with more spaces along Osterstraße and at the market square, where you can park for two hours with a parking permit. There's also a free lot within walking distance. Anyone vacationing in North Friesland should stop here!
