Ferienwohnung Aalfänger

The house itself is lovely, in a quiet area with a private road and a great view. Unfortunately, the inside was a complete disaster. The furniture was old, shabby and squeaky. The sunshade was partly torn, the grill was moldy and rusted through, and there were cobwebs everywhere. Food scraps from the previous guests were still in a cupboard. The radio antenna was taped to the ceiling, some mosquito nets were torn or patched with tape, and both parasols were broken. The small black bin in the shared garbage room, used by several houses, was nearly always full. I could keep listing problems. The rental process was the worst part. Nobody responded to our complaints, only gave us platitudes like, "Call us next time and we'll tell you what the house is like," and, "There's nothing we can do, it's the landlord's responsibility." Apparently these defects had been known for a long time. But you're the landlord, and the contract was with you. We're done with this house and the associated vacation rental agency. Never again. There are so many other places that actually look after their guests.
