Park Residence

The staff waited for us until nearly midnight after our flight was cancelled and we had to book a room in an emergency. The room was clean and comfortable, we slept really well, and breakfast was good. What really saved the trip was a staff member taking me to a doctor and pharmacy. I’d been bitten by a viper, and his kindness and quick help meant I didn’t end up in the hospital later that day. We were very lucky to find this place. We’ll definitely stay again when we’re next in Munich. Thank you so much!

I was stranded in Munich for several days because of the weather, and the owners of Park Residence helped me get home safely. Their kindness and practical help went far beyond what I expected. They offered personal touches and useful local guidance, and their care made a difficult stretch feel warm and welcoming. I felt like a friend they cared about, not just a guest. Park Residence was a real haven in the snowstorm, and I’m immensely grateful for the owners’ support. I wholeheartedly recommend it for a stay in Munich.

For what they charge, I expected better quality. I wouldn’t mind these issues at around 30 Euro a night, like a typical German youth hostel, but this place costs three times that. The “Park Residence” feels overpriced for hostel-level quality. The staff were quite unfriendly, and the old furniture made the room feel depressing. Shower pressure was low enough to make washing uncomfortable. Breakfast was made up of the cheapest ingredients: dry bread rolls, two kinds of “Aldi” cheese, and watery juice. The one good thing was the beer vending machine in the cellar.

Rooms are clean and functional, with a microwave. Breakfast is available for 7 euro. The only issue was the fridge in my room, which couldn’t be switched off and kept making noise.
