Hotel Bischofslinde

We've been coming to this hotel for over a year and have always left with good impressions. My wife and I visit the city twice a year because a friend lives here, and we keep trying to book a room here. The staff are very accommodating, the parking is on site, and although the hotel is small, breakfast is good. It's a little far from the center, but the price is right for Freiburg. The tram stop is nearby, and after three stops you're in the center. One lovely part of the location is a large park with a lake, where you can enjoy nature in warm weather. We don't regret returning.

Being able to get into Freiburg by train makes this a handy base for a business trip. The city center is also about a 30-minute walk away. There’s a Penny supermarket next door and a few restaurants close by. My room was clean, though the bathroom was fairly modest, and the staff were very polite and spoke excellent English.

Breakfast was generous and delicious, and my room had a big porch with two chairs. The place felt cozy and was very clean, with really nice staff. The WiFi was unreliable, so I wouldn’t depend on it. Nothing fancy, but a wonderful choice for a three-star hotel.

The tram stop is very close, so getting to central Freiburg was easy. Breakfast was very good, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I stayed three nights in September 2015. It’s a clean, contemporary but fairly basic hotel, with good free motorcycle parking in the underground garage. The beds are very low and the mattresses a bit soft.
