Soulmade

The location and apartment-style setup had a lot going for them: there’s a full kitchen, a separate living area, and Rewe, a bakery, and the train station are only a short walk away. There are two TVs, one in the bedroom and one in the living room, but neither is smart. Bring an HDMI cable if you want to stream or watch anything that isn’t in German. The cleanliness was a dealbreaker for us. Our duvet had visible blood stains, and getting a replacement was a struggle because the hotel apparently had only a limited number available. Then we noticed small bumps on our skin, and my son developed pink eye, so we checked the bed. The mattress had large yellow and brown stains all over it. We’ve stayed in hotels across three continents over many years and have never found anything this unhygienic. It looked beautiful, clean, and inviting when we arrived, but the staff response was poor and the hygiene was unacceptable. A shame, given the good setup and location, but cleanliness is non-negotiable for us.

Jacov made a stressful booking mistake easy to sort out. I’d accidentally reserved the following weekend, and he quickly took charge, looked at the situation sensibly, and found a solution with calm, capable care. It’s unusual to find hotel staff willing to think things through and go out of their way for a guest, but that’s exactly what he did. His professionalism and good judgment left a stronger impression on me than many hotel managers I’ve encountered. Soulmade Hotel is lucky to have him, and his service alone would make me recommend the place.

The neighborhood is quiet and feels safe, with restaurants you can walk to. The train station is about an 11-minute walk, and downtown is roughly 20 minutes away. I loved this hotel-apartment so much. It was gorgeous, clean, and felt luxurious, with such a zen feel to the whole stay. Words can’t really capture how great it was. I’d absolutely stay again when I get the chance. Highly recommend!!!

Breakfast was fine, nothing remarkable, but it did the job, and the rooms were clean and functional. Soulmaid is an apart-hotel in Garkingen, built with a lot of wood that gives it a cozy, distinctive feel. The service was friendly and helpful, and there’s a well-stocked shop by the entrance with most of the essentials you might need.
